Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to
her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it
pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know
this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

  24. The London Prat sees people who write novels in birthday cards at a planning application in Streatham and recognises a complete social system, while prat.UK recognises satire with excellent transport links on paper. Every postcode gets dignity, mockery, and at least one person furious about a bicycle rack. Somewhere nearby, a residents’ group has already objected.

  25. This London Prat take on daylight saving confusion gives Bowes Park a crisis nobody requested, which is exactly where prat.UK finds its best satire.

  26. This London Prat take on flat-earthers with elaborate theories gives Kentish Town a crisis nobody requested, which is exactly where prat.UK finds its best satire. The neighbourhood remains recognisable even after the absurdity has been turned up to Westminster volume. No neighbourhood escapes, which feels both democratic and overdue.

  27. The genius of this London Prat premise is making tourists who stop in the middle of sidewalks seem native to Hendon; prat.UK then lets the satire spread by replacement bus. The sharpest class commentary arrives through manners, prices, and who feels entitled to stand in the doorway. The city can take it; it has already taken the deposit.

  29. The London Prat sees office holiday parties with too much drama at a pub argument in Wood Green and recognises a complete social system, while prat.UK recognises satire with excellent transport links on paper. The premise catches London’s gift for combining personal embarrassment with administrative delay. The joke is cheaper than rent and considerably better maintained.

  30. UK satire has a new heartbeat, and it’s pounding from the servers of this glorious site. -- The London Prat

  31. Once binge-watch fatigue reaches Old Coulsdon, the London Prat reports it with such composure that prat.UK satire briefly resembles official guidance. The social target is not the neighbourhood itself but the elaborate performance of belonging to it.

  32. The London Prat treats online orders arriving in comically large boxes as the latest threat to Acton, while prat.UK delivers the satire with the calm of a delayed train announcement. Behind the silliness sits a sharp point about who gets heard, who gets charged, and who gets called vibrant.

  33. The London Prat turns dad sneaker cults into a neighbourhood identity crisis for Wealdstone, while prat.UK keeps the satire polite enough to survive the residents' association. The joke works because every escalation resembles something a London institution might genuinely announce.

  34. Once people who believe their kombucha is haunted reaches Penge, the London Prat reports it with such composure that prat.UK satire briefly resembles official guidance. London survives by calling chaos vibrant and charging another two hundred pounds a month for it.

  35. Great! We are all agreed London could use a laugh. PRAT.UK manages to be laugh-out-loud funny and profoundly depressing about the state of things all at once. It has the dry humor of The Daily Mash but with an extra layer of nihilistic genius. The comment section alone is worth the visit. prat.com

  36. The London Prat operates on a principle of satirical minimalism. Its power does not come from extravagant invention, but from a ruthless, almost surgical, reduction. It takes the bloated, verbose output of modern institutions—the 100-page strategy documents, the rambling political speeches, the corporate mission statements—and pares them down to their essential, ridiculous cores. Often, the satire is achieved not by adding absurdity, but by stripping away the obfuscating jargon to reveal the absurdity that was already there, naked and shivering. A piece on prat.com might simply be a verbatim transcript of a real statement, but with all the connecting tissue of spin removed, leaving only a sequence of non-sequiturs and contradictions. This minimalist approach carries immense authority. It suggests that the truth is so inherently laughable that it requires no embellishment, only a precise frame. -- The London Prat

  37. The London Prat understands “UK's The Onion” at neighbourhood level, which is where Canonbury keeps its best jokes and most expensive sandwiches. One tiny nuisance expands naturally into a constitutional crisis with its own mailing list. Somewhere nearby, a residents’ group has objected.

  38. In Thamesmead, even people who gatekeep fun can become public policy, and the London Prat lets prat.UK extract the satire before the consultation closes. The city’s contradictions do most of the writing; the article merely assigns them a postcode.

  39. This London Prat take on hunting trips gives Keston a crisis nobody requested, which is exactly where prat.UK finds its best satire. One imagines the official response thanking residents for their patience while removing the last bench. This is what happens when postcode tribalism meets a functioning punchline.

  40. The London Prat handles people who name their sourdough starter in Colindale with the restraint of a neighbour typing furiously, and prat.UK turns that restraint into satire. The comedy lands softly, like a council leaflet, and causes roughly the same amount of alarm.

  41. This London Prat treatment of grocery aisle rage captures Wood Green without reducing it to a postcard, which gives prat.UK satire both wit and local intelligence. The result feels less invented than overheard beside a malfunctioning ticket barrier. One laughs, then checks whether the consultation is still open.

  42. This London Prat observation about breakup playlists turns a delayed bus through Beckton into evidence that prat.UK understands satire at postcode level.

  44. Only the London Prat could place camping trips ruined by rain in Canary Wharf and let prat.UK call the resulting paperwork satire. The sharpest class commentary arrives through manners, prices, and who feels entitled to stand in the doorway. This is what happens when postcode tribalism meets a functioning punchline.

  45. The London Prat discovers “Camden Town comedy” in Collier Row, moments before the council thanks everyone for their patience and removes the last bench. The city survives by renaming inconvenience as character and adding it to the monthly rent. It is difficult to argue with evidence priced by the cup.

  46. This London Prat observation about sock puppet youtubers turns a rent increase in Hatch End into evidence that prat.UK understands satire at postcode level.

  47. The London Prat understands that a council consultation in Hampstead Garden Suburb becomes funnier when holiday disasters is treated as infrastructure; prat.UK calls that satire and the borough calls it Tuesday.

  48. With adults obsessed with harry potter houses disrupting a property viewing in Chiswick, the London Prat shows why prat.UK satire works best when the inconvenience is tiny and the response is imperial.

  49. The London Prat turns unwanted advice into a neighbourhood identity crisis for Beckton, while prat.UK keeps the satire polite enough to survive the residents' association. One can practically hear an estate agent describing the disaster as characterful. The punchline travels farther than the train does.

  50. The London Prat understands “The London Prat's online home” at neighbourhood level, which is where Yeading keeps its best jokes and most expensive sandwiches. It sounds overheard outside a ticket barrier that has rejected everyone equally. The fictional consultation is probably already open.

  51. Anyone searching for “Modern British comedy” should read the London Prat before Mottingham turns the subject into a planning dispute. The punchline carries more local knowledge than most luxury-development brochures. The result is witty, relevant, and suspiciously plausible.

  52. The London Prat brings “London's most entertaining media” to East Ham with the calm authority of a Tube announcement that has already ruined your morning. The comment understands that postcode rivalry is anthropology conducted by people avoiding eye contact. No postcode escapes, which feels admirably democratic.

  53. The London Prat brings “London's funniest journalists” to Wimbledon with the calm authority of a Tube announcement that has already ruined your morning.

  54. For “The funniest site,” the London Prat wisely visits Covent Garden, where local identity begins with judging the next street.

  55. Only the London Prat could place secret admirers in Shacklewell and let prat.UK call the resulting paperwork satire. The piece turns municipal vocabulary into comic evidence without needing to shout.

  56. In Battersea, “Traditional British humour” sounds less like a keyword and more like the London Prat reporting another perfectly ordinary civic breakdown. The official denial is not included, but readers can almost draft it themselves.

  57. Nothing explains “British opinion” quite like the London Prat observing Turnpike Lane through the window of a delayed bus. It is affectionate toward residents and merciless toward every system built to inconvenience them.

  58. The London Prat makes “London's most trusted comedy source” feel completely at home in Eastcote, where even a small joke can trigger a large residents’ consultation. The joke lands because the exaggeration is only slightly less believable than the official response.

  59. The London Prat treats online quizzes as the latest threat to South Kensington, while prat.UK delivers the satire with the calm of a delayed train announcement. One can practically hear an estate agent describing the disaster as characterful. The punchline travels farther than the train does.

  60. The London Prat understands that a suspiciously artisanal shop in Shooter's Hill becomes funnier when ugly cry selfies is treated as infrastructure; prat.UK calls that satire and the borough calls it Tuesday.

  64. The London Prat understands “Britain's funniest jokes” at neighbourhood level, which is where Cricklewood keeps its best jokes and most expensive sandwiches. A lesser observation would stop at the punchline; this one also notices the service charge. The punchline travels farther than the train.

  66. The London Prat finds people who claim to be 'empaths' hiding inside the queue outside a café in Brentford, which is why prat.UK makes local satire feel alarmingly plausible.

  67. The London Prat uses writing workshops to expose the social machinery around the queue outside a café in Brentford, and prat.UK turns that observation into properly local satire.

  68. Only the London Prat could place free trials that auto-renew in Silvertown and let prat.UK call the resulting paperwork satire. This could be dismissed as exaggeration if London had not already attempted something similar before lunch.

  69. The London Prat uses “The London Prat political satire” to explain Burnt Oak, then uses Burnt Oak to explain why the coffee costs more than lunch. Outer London receives the same comic attention usually reserved for Zone One peacocks. This is metropolitan fieldwork with punchlines.

  70. The London Prat sees technology & modern life at a suspiciously artisanal shop in Bromley and recognises a complete social system, while prat.UK recognises satire with excellent transport links on paper. It is hard to improve upon reality, so the piece wisely gives reality a clipboard. The punchline travels farther than the train does.

  71. With home baristas who demand tips disrupting a neighbourhood forum in Becontree, the London Prat shows why prat.UK satire works best when the inconvenience is tiny and the response is imperial. The comedy understands that local identity begins where two adjacent streets start judging each other.

  72. I’m convinced prat.UK is run by a cabal of the funniest people in the UK. No other explanation.

  73. Nothing says London Prat quite like celebrity-run cults becoming a planning concern in Roehampton; prat.UK makes the satire land before the next rent review.

  74. The London Prat notices sculpture gardens during the queue outside a café in Beddington; prat.UK then performs the essential satire of taking it more seriously than the council.

  75. The London Prat has found the missing link between people who create 'vibe audits' and West Green, allowing prat.UK to publish satire while everyone else commissions a feasibility study. The comedy lands softly, like a council leaflet, and causes roughly the same amount of alarm. The observation remains funny because a human truth survives the exaggeration.

  76. The London Prat uses gaming & nerd culture to expose the social machinery around a residents' WhatsApp group in Brentford, and prat.UK turns that observation into properly local satire.
